Privacy Policy

No cookies. No analytics. No tracking. Here's the whole story.

Last updated: 17 July 2026

Is It Crossplay? (iscrossplay.com) is a free database of video game crossplay information. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what you can do about it. It is deliberately short, because we deliberately collect almost nothing.

The short version: browsing this site is anonymous. We set no cookies, run no analytics, and use no advertising or tracking scripts. The only personal data we ever receive is an email address — and only if you choose to type one into the Request a Game form.

1. Who is responsible

This site is run by an individual, not a company. For anything in this policy — including any of the rights listed in section 6 — contact: andremalvebusiness@gmail.com.

2. What we collect

We collect data in exactly one place: the Request a Game form.

  • Game name (required) — this is not personal data.
  • Your email address (optional) — only if you enter one. Leave it blank and we never learn who you are; your request still counts.

We do not have user accounts, newsletters, comments or logins. We do not buy, sell, or enrich data, and we do not build profiles.

Separately, our infrastructure providers (section 4) automatically process limited technical data such as your IP address and browser type when you load a page or submit the form. They do this to deliver the site and to block spam and abuse. We do not use it to identify you, and we do not combine it with anything else.

3. Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • Game name — to review the game and add it to the database. Legal basis: legitimate interest in maintaining the catalogue.
  • Email address — for one purpose only: to tell you the outcome of your request. We will not use it for marketing, and we will not send you anything else. Legal basis: consent, which you give by choosing to fill the field in.
  • Technical data — spam prevention, security and reliability. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

4. Who else sees it

We do not sell or share your data. Two service providers process it on our behalf:

Both are based in the United States, so submitting the form involves transferring data outside the EEA/UK. Both providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses and equivalent safeguards for those transfers. We may also disclose data if the law genuinely requires it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep a request only as long as it is useful: until the game is reviewed and you have been told the outcome. After that it is deleted from the Formspree inbox. If you ask us to delete your email address sooner, we will.

6. Your rights

If you are in the EU/EEA or the UK, the GDPR gives you the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive a copy of it, and withdraw consent at any time (withdrawing does not affect what we did before you withdrew).

Email andremalvebusiness@gmail.com and we will action it. In practice, "delete my request" is one message and takes seconds.

You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

7. Cookies and tracking

This site sets no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising, social media or fingerprinting scripts. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to. Your browser may store your light/dark theme preference locally on your own device; that never reaches us.

8. Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets that age), and we do not knowingly collect their data. Since the email field is optional, children can use the whole site without giving us anything. If you believe a child has sent us an email address, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above changes with it. Material changes to how we use your data will be described here.
