Cozy Builder is a modular château restoration sandbox from Pangea Game Studios, where two players rebuild an earthquake-damaged château using a piece-by-piece building system, then decorate it and live among their creations. Planted! is a co-op party game from Curveball Games and Cloth Cat Games where up to four players sow, grow and throw produce at each other across eight chaotic gardening arenas. It supports online and local co-op, plus a single-player campaign.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has full crossplay across PC (Steam, Battle.net), PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, enabled by default — you can disable it in settings if you want smaller, platform-only lobbies. Cross-progression runs through your Activision account, so your unlocked weapons, operator skins, stats and Battle Pass follow you everywhere.

Mycopunk is a four-player co-op looter-shooter from Devolver Digital and Pigeons at Play, where a crew of robots exterminates a fungal outbreak with customizable weapons. It has been on PC (Steam) in Early Access since July 2025, and leaves Early Access with a PlayStation 5 launch in October 2026, day one on the PS Plus Game Catalog. Crossplay between PC and PS5 has not been confirmed.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has no crossplay — PC, PlayStation and Xbox players are each locked to their own platform, with the only overlap being cross-generation compatibility within a family (PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series X|S). There is no cross-progression: your Red Dead Online rank and progress are tied to the platform you earned them on, and PC is excluded even from that. Story Mode is a single-player, offline campaign. Rockstar wound down major Red Dead Online updates in 2022, so this is unlikely to change.

Duo Quest is a two-player co-op roguelite deckbuilder from 1+1 Studios, built around a 'Bondbreaker' mechanic where partners answer questions about each other mid-battle to power up attacks. Friendslop is a 2-6 player online co-op 'factory comedy' where your crew manufactures a dangerously unstable energy drink while managing workplace chaos — and sabotaging each other for bonuses. Coming to PC (Steam, Windows), it is PC-only, so crossplay does not apply. No exact release date or console versions have been announced.

Forsworn is a turn-based tactical roguelite RPG where you build a party of heroes and chase powerful synergies across runs, with simultaneous-turn co-op. Launching September 10, 2026 on PC (Steam, including SteamOS and Linux), it is PC-only, so crossplay does not apply. Play solo or in online co-op for up to four players.

Final Fantasy VII Revelation is the third and final chapter of Square Enix's Final Fantasy VII Remake trilogy, revealed at the September 2026 State of Play. It's a single-player action RPG, so crossplay and co-op don't apply, and it launches April 8, 2027 on PC (Steam), Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.

RuneScape: Dragonwilds is a co-op survival-crafting game set in the RuneScape world, from Jagex. It's in PC Early Access now and leaves Early Access on September 15, 2026 with a simultaneous full launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 (day one on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus). Jagex has confirmed full crossplay across all platforms from that launch — but there is no cross-save, so progress does not transfer between platforms.

Lizards Must Die 2 is a co-op action-slasher (2-4 players online) that launched on PC (Steam) in 2025 and expanded to PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S on August 27, 2026. Crossplay is partial: via Xbox Play Anywhere, Xbox consoles and the PC Microsoft Store version play together and share saves, while the Steam version and PlayStation 5 are each isolated. Full cross-platform play across all platforms has not been confirmed.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is CD Projekt Red's acclaimed single-player open-world RPG, so crossplay and co-op don't apply — it has no multiplayer of any kind across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. A Remastered version launched September 29, 2026 with path tracing, a combat overhaul and other upgrades — a free upgrade for existing owners, with a free Switch 2 version for Switch owners — but the game remains single-player. It plays fully offline.

Exterminauts is a three-player co-op PvE third-person shooter from Level Infinite and Behaviour Interactive (the Dead by Daylight studio), where blue-collar 'galactic field technicians' clear alien infestations on hostile off-world worksites. Gears of War: E-Day is the next entry in the Gears saga, launching October 6, 2026 on Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam and the Microsoft Store), day one on Game Pass — there's no PlayStation or Nintendo version. It has full crossplay between Xbox and PC across every co-op and multiplayer mode, with a four-player campaign, two-player split-screen on Xbox, and progress shared through your Xbox account.

Stage Tour is a band-rhythm game from RedOctane — the studio behind Guitar Hero — and a spiritual successor to Guitar Hero and Rock Band, launching December 10, 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2. It has full crossplay: online co-op and leaderboards work across every platform. Play solo, in local couch co-op, or online with friends, using guitar, drum and vocal peripherals or a gamepad, across 90+ songs.

Broke Wizards is a 1-6 player co-op action game from Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell, where wizard roommates slay monsters, race, play prop hunt and take odd jobs to pay rent to their giant Imp Landlord. Coming to PC (Steam and the Epic Games Store) in Q4 2026, it is PC-only, so crossplay does not apply. Online co-op supports up to six players with public and private lobbies.

We Are So Cooked is a 1-4 player co-op physics-stealth game from Dwarven Brothers and 1312 Interactive, where the whole goal is to 'get the body to the exit' while ragdoll physics and miscommunication threaten to expose you. Launching October 15, 2026 on PC (Steam), it is PC-only, so crossplay does not apply. It has been compared to Gang Beasts meets Garry's Mod.

Dune: Awakening is a survival MMO from Funcom, on PC (Steam) since 2025, so there's no crossplay yet. PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions arrive September 22, 2026 (Deluxe/Ultimate get 5-day early access from September 17), alongside a new full single-player mode. At console launch, crossplay is limited to Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC version (Xbox Play Anywhere) — not Steam or PlayStation — and Funcom has confirmed full crossplay across all platforms for later, without a date.

Serious Sam: Shatterverse is a co-op roguelite FPS from Behaviour Interactive and Devolver Digital, launching August 31, 2026 on PC (Steam, Microsoft Store), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Up to five players fight through wave-based, procedurally generated runs as versions of Sam from alternate dimensions. Crossplay has not been confirmed at launch.

Tom Clancy's The Division 2 has no crossplay today — PC, PlayStation and Xbox are separate — but Ubisoft confirmed at Gamescom 2026 that full crossplay launches in November 2026, on by default (togglable from Character Selection), with cross-platform clans expanded to 100 members. There is no cross-platform cross-save: you can't move an agent between PC, PlayStation and Xbox, though on PC one Ubisoft account carries your progress across Steam, Epic, Ubisoft Connect and Luna.

Dear Passengers is a co-op party game about running the world's worst airline, from Kyiv studio FLEXUS — one player flies the plane while the rest work the cabin. Announced for PC (Steam) in 2026, it is PC-only for now, so crossplay does not apply. It supports online co-op and solo play, and drew over 500,000 Steam wishlists within hours of its reveal.

WheelMates is a two-player co-op adventure from Firevolt where you drive tiny RC cars through an eccentric scientist's house, solving puzzles together. It launches PC-only on Steam on September 1, 2026 (with Steam Deck support), so crossplay doesn't apply at launch — there's no other platform yet. Console editions are expected in the first half of 2027, when crossplay becomes a possibility to watch. Only one player needs to buy it: a Friend's Pass shares a copy with a second player via Steam. Co-op works online or in local split-screen.

Crimson Desert is a single-player, open-world action-adventure from Pearl Abyss, released March 19, 2026 on PC (Steam, Epic), PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. There is no multiplayer, so crossplay does not apply — but Update 1.14 added cross-save across all four platforms, so you can carry one character between them (a manual, single-slot save; paid DLC stays platform-locked).

Age of Empires III: Definitive Edition is a real-time strategy remaster from Forgotten Empires, Tantalus Media and Xbox Game Studios, released October 15, 2020 on PC. It has full crossplay between the Steam and Microsoft Store (Game Pass) versions through a universal multiplayer lobby. There is no Xbox console or PlayStation version.

Cities: Skylines II (Cities Skylines 2) is a single-player city-building simulation from Colossal Order (now Iceflake Studios) and Paradox Interactive, released October 24, 2023 on Windows PC. There is no multiplayer or co-op, so crossplay does not apply, and the announced PS5 and Xbox Series X|S versions remain indefinitely delayed.

Big Walk is an online-only co-op puzzle solving and adventure game from House House and publisher Panic, released August 4, 2026 on PC (Windows, MacOS) via Steam, Mac on the Mac App Store, and across PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, with day-one full Crossplay support. The game supports Steam Deck and in-game voice-chat, which is recommended to fully enjoy the game.

Corsair Cove is a single-player pirate city-builder from Limbic Entertainment and publisher Hooded Horse, released July 31, 2026 on PC via Steam, the Epic Games Store and the Microsoft Store, with day-one PC Game Pass. There is no multiplayer, so crossplay does not apply. It is Steam Deck Playable but lacks controller support.

Project Zomboid is a hardcore sandbox zombie-survival game from The Indie Stone, on PC (Windows, Mac and Linux) via Steam. There are no console versions, but all PC players can share player-run servers, and it is one of the rare survival games with local split-screen co-op. It has been in Early Access since 2013 and is Steam Deck Verified.

Waterpark Simulator is a first-person waterpark management sim from CayPlay, on Steam for Windows PC. It left Early Access for its 1.0 launch on July 31, 2026, which added online co-op so you can build with friends. It is PC-only, so crossplay does not apply — any same-named console 'version' is an unaffiliated clone, not CayPlay's game.

Bills Must Be Paid is a single-player 'active incremental' game from Rike Games — you smash piggy banks to pay your bills — released July 29, 2026 on Steam for Windows and Mac. There is no multiplayer, so crossplay does not apply, and it is Steam Deck Verified.

Sephiria is a top-down action roguelite from TEAM HORAY (the Dungreed developers), on Steam for Windows and Mac. It left Early Access for its 1.0 launch on July 31, 2026. Crossplay is available, since all players play on the same platform already, with online co-op for up to four players and Steam Deck support.

How Many Dudes? is a single-player roguelike 'dudebuilder' from Butterscotch Shenanigans, released July 30, 2026 on PC and Android. There is no multiplayer or co-op, so crossplay does not apply — and the developer confirms it runs on Steam Deck.

Mistfall Hunter is a third-person PvPvE extraction ARPG with full crossplay across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S from its July 29, 2026 launch (day one on Game Pass). You raid solo or in a three-player squad. There is no confirmed cross-progression, so your characters and loot stay on the platform you play on.

Grand Theft Auto V / GTA Online has no crossplay — PC, PlayStation and Xbox players are each locked to their own platform, and even cross-generation play needs both players on the same edition. There is no cross-progression either: Rockstar only offers a one-time migration of your character from PS4 / Xbox One to PS5 / Xbox Series X|S, and PC is excluded. Ore Factory Squad is a PC-only (Steam) co-op mining and factory-building game for up to four players, so crossplay doesn't apply — everyone plays on PC. You can go solo or team up to buy properties, dig for resources, complete contracts and automate production lines.

Shift At Midnight is a co-op detective horror on Steam, Xbox Series X|S and PC Game Pass, designed for three players with lobbies of up to six since a 23 July 2026 patch. Crossplay is partial: Xbox and PC Game Pass players share one pool through Xbox Play Anywhere, while Steam players only play with other Steam players.

Strikers Club is a free-to-play, PC-only (Steam) football game, so crossplay doesn't apply — all players are on PC. Every player on the pitch is a real person, with 5v5 quickplay matchmaking and custom matches from 1v1 up to 11v11. It launched into Steam Early Access on 17 July 2026.

Guildrun is a single-player PvE autobattler roguelike, so crossplay does not apply — there is no multiplayer mode at all. Only the free demo is available so far (July 2026), with the full game due on Steam in 2027 for PC and Mac.

Ready or Not has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S since the July 2025 console launch, with tactical co-op for up to five operators. Crossplay is off by default on consoles and must be enabled; an Epic Games account isn't required to play, though linking one (optional) adds cross-platform friends. Cross-progression is limited to Xbox Play Anywhere, which shares saves between Xbox and the Microsoft Store PC version, so Steam, Epic and PS5 progress stays separate.

PlateUp! has almost no crossplay. Crashout Crew has partial crossplay: Xbox Series X|S and the Windows Store (Game Pass) PC version play together, while Steam players are limited to other Steam players. It is a PC and Xbox release only — there is no PlayStation or Switch version.

Funnel Runners hits Steam Early Access on July 16, 2026 and is PC-only, so crossplay does not apply. Up to 8 players scavenge parts and fix a van to escape a tornado in online co-op. Supernova Studios expects around a year in Early Access, with no consoles announced.

Hela (full title Hela: of Mice & Magic) is a wholesome co-op adventure where up to four players explore as brave little mice helping a kind witch, in a world inspired by northern Sweden. From Windup Games (Unravel Two veterans), it's due in Q4 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2 — day one on Xbox Game Pass, with over a million wishlists. Play solo, in two-player local split-screen, or in online co-op for up to four; crossplay has not been announced.

Bungie's sci-fi extraction shooter launched on March 5, 2026. Everything is tied to your Bungie.net account, which is how friends and fireteams work across hardware. Crossplay is enabled by default but may be toggled off in settings for players who prefer platform-exclusive lobbies.

Windows, macOS and Linux players all share the same servers. The 1.0 release grew lobbies from a basic 1v1 to 8 players, with Free For All, Team Deathmatch and spectator mode.

MyACG Studio's dark fantasy roguelite entered Steam Early Access on March 30, 2026, exclusively on PC (Windows). The game is entirely single-player at launch. Co-op is something the developers are actively discussing and monitoring player feedback on, but it has not been confirmed.

Doraccoon and Playstack's coin-pushing roguelike deckbuilder launched on March 31, 2026 exclusively on PC (Windows) via Steam. The game is entirely single-player, meaning crossplay is not applicable. Pro Clubs finally got crossplay, but the gen-lock still applies: PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC in one pool, PS4 and Xbox One in another, Switch alone.

Gen-locked: PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC share one pool, while PS4 and Xbox One share an older-gen pool. Nintendo Switch players are on their own.

Rocket League has full, unrestricted crossplay across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, all in one matchmaking pool, with friends added by Epic Games ID. Cross-progression syncs your items and Rocket Pass through your Epic account, and both consoles and PC support local split-screen for up to four players.

Co-op, Survival, Adventure

PEAK is a 4-player co-op climbing game from Aggro Crab and Landfall, on Steam (PC). After its viral 2025 launch it got the 'Final Ascent' content update in August 2026, adding the Gloom and Citadel biomes — freeing the team to focus on console development. It is still PC-only, so crossplay is not live yet — but the developers confirmed via Discord that the coming PlayStation 5 and Xbox versions will fully cross-play with Steam and with each other. No release window or cross-progression details have been given yet.

Survival, Open World, Co-op, Action

Players on PC (Steam and Microsoft Store), Xbox and PlayStation 5 can play together on shared dedicated servers. Saves do not transfer between platforms.

Simulation, RPG, Co-op, Sandbox

PC players on Windows, Mac and Linux all share one pool, while each console is limited to its own platform. Up to 4 players can also share a single screen locally.

Horror, Survival, Co-op

Dead by Daylight has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch — friends are added by their in-game DBD ID (Name#1234), crossplay is on automatically, and progress carries across platforms. The mobile version is a separate game and can't join PC or console lobbies.

Horror, Stealth, Co-op

The Outlast Trials has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation and Xbox, joined with an in-game Friend Code from the Terminal in the Sleep Room — no external Ubisoft, EA or Epic account linking required.

Survival, Open World, Shooter, Action

Every platform runs its own servers, official and community-hosted alike, so population and server choice vary a lot depending on where you play.

Shooter, Tactical, FPS, Action, Simulation

Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 share the same battles, while PC keeps its own pool. There is no friends-list invite — you both search the same server name.

Survival, Sandbox, Co-op, Adventure

Up to 6 players per world, but every ecosystem is walled off — even the Steam and Microsoft Store PC versions cannot play together.

Co-op, Adventure, Action

A Way Out has no cross-platform play — both players must be on the same platform family, with cross-gen working within it (PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series X/S). Only one of you needs to buy it, though; the second joins on a free trial. It's a two-player-only co-op, in split-screen or online.

It Takes Two has no cross-platform play — its two-player co-op only crosses generations within one family (PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series X/S). A friend on a different platform can't join you, even with the free Friend's Pass. Local split-screen is supported.

Deep Rock Galactic has partial crossplay: Xbox consoles play only with the PC Microsoft Store (Game Pass) version, through Xbox Play Anywhere. The Steam version and PlayStation are each isolated in their own pools, and progress doesn't transfer between platforms.

Co-op, Horror

Phasmophobia has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S: up to four investigators join through a shared room code, and VR players can hunt alongside non-VR players in the same lobby. It's an online co-op horror game — playable solo, but always online — with no split-screen.

Survival, Sandbox, Open World, Co-op, RPG

Valheim left Early Access with its 1.0 launch on September 9, 2026, arriving simultaneously on PC, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 — with full crossplay across all of them via Iron Gate's join-code system, supporting up to 10 players in one world. There's no cross-buy: each platform's version is purchased separately.

Sandbox, Adventure, Action, RPG, Co-op

PC (Steam/GOG) and Mobile (iOS/Android) players can now play together through dedicated servers, added in the 1.4.5 update (January 2026). Console players are limited to their own family — PS4 with PS5 and Xbox One with Xbox Series — and cannot yet join PC or Mobile worlds. At Gamescom 2026, Re-Logic said a first phase of wider crossplay is 'on deck' for the upcoming Patch 1.4.6.

Sandbox, Survival, Adventure, Co-op

Minecraft: Java Edition only plays with other Java players on Windows, Mac and Linux — there's no crossplay with the Bedrock Edition on consoles or mobile, and everyone must be on the same version. Multiplayer runs online through servers, LAN or Realms, with no split-screen, and the game is fully playable offline in single-player.

Sandbox, Survival, Adventure, Co-op

Minecraft: Bedrock Edition has full crossplay across PC, Xbox, PlayStation, Nintendo Switch and mobile — every player just signs in to a free Microsoft account (even on Switch and PlayStation) and adds friends by Gamertag. It also supports split-screen on consoles.

Shooter, FPS, Action, Free-to-Play

The Finals has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, with friends added via their Embark ID. You can toggle crossplay off under Settings and Gameplay, though that usually means very long queues.

Shooter, Tactical, FPS, Action

Rainbow Six Siege has crossplay and cross-progression through Ubisoft Connect, with friends added by username. If a console player invites a PC player, the whole squad moves into the PC matchmaking pool — PC players can't otherwise join console lobbies.

Shooter, FPS, RPG, Free-to-Play

Destiny 2 has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation and Xbox — you build fireteams by adding friends via their Bungie Name (Name#1234), which is the same on every platform, and progress follows your Bungie account between systems. It's online-only with no split-screen, and PvP keeps consoles apart from PC unless you deliberately party up.

Shooter, FPS, Action, Free-to-Play

Overwatch 2 has partial crossplay: Quick Play is fully cross-platform across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, but Competitive uses platform-based matchmaking, so your ranked pool stays on your own hardware. Progress carries across platforms through your Battle.net account.

Shooter, Tactical, FPS, Free-to-Play

VALORANT has partial crossplay: on console, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S players share one pool, but PC is kept entirely separate so mouse aim never meets controller aim assist. Your Riot account and progress carry across PC and console. It's an online-only 5v5 tactical shooter, with no offline or split-screen play.

Battle Royale, Shooter, FPS, Free-to-Play

PUBG: Battlegrounds has partial crossplay: PlayStation and Xbox console players share one pool, but PC stays completely separate and can't join console lobbies. PUBG Mobile is a different game and doesn't cross-play with console or PC, and progress doesn't carry between platforms.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III has full crossplay across PC, Xbox and PlayStation through your Activision account, so you can squad up in Multiplayer, Zombies and the Warzone integration whatever platform your friends are on. Cross-progression carries your unlocks and rank between systems, and consoles support local split-screen in some modes.

Call of Duty: Warzone has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation and Xbox, with squads formed by adding friends through their Activision ID (Name#1234567) and progress carried between platforms. PlayStation players can disable crossplay in the system settings, but Xbox and PC players generally can't.

Apex Legends has full crossplay across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, enabled by default, with friends added through their EA Public ID and progress carried across platforms. Console players are only pulled into PC lobbies if they party up with a PC player.
