Red Dead Redemption 2 has no crossplay — PC, PlayStation and Xbox players are each locked to their own platform, with the only overlap being cross-generation compatibility within a family (PS4 with PS5, Xbox One with Xbox Series X|S). PlayStation and Xbox players can turn crossplay off under Account and Privacy, but Switch and mobile players cannot.
Read moreNew to cross-platform play? Here is how crossplay and cross-progression work, and how this list is kept accurate.
Crossplay, or cross-platform play, lets people on different platforms — PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch and mobile — play the same online game together. If a game has crossplay, a PlayStation player and an Xbox player can join the same match or co-op session.
Cross-progression, also called cross-save, means your progress, unlocks and sometimes purchases carry over between the platforms you play on. It is separate from crossplay: a game can let you play together across platforms without syncing your save, or sync your save without full crossplay.
Partial crossplay means only some platforms can play together, not all. A common example is PC and Xbox sharing one pool while PlayStation players are separate, or the Steam version being split from the Game Pass version. Each game page shows exactly which platforms are grouped together.
Every entry is researched from official sources — developer announcements, store listings and support pages — and given a last-verified date. When a game's status changes or a console version launches, we re-check and update the page.
Regularly. We add newly released and trending games and re-verify existing entries, so the catalogue stays current. Each game page shows the date its crossplay information was last confirmed.
