Yes, Medieval Dynasty supports crossplay, but only partially.
Partially, Medieval Dynasty supports limited crossplay. All the available platforms can play together, with the exception of the PS4 and the Xbox One. Currently, cross-progression is not supported, so your saves are locked to each platform.
Medieval Dynasty is available on the following platforms:
Medieval Dynasty has crossplay between current-gen (PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC) through join codes. Up to 4 players in co-op. PS4 and Xbox One are excluded. Voice chat through platform-specific systems or Discord.
Medieval Dynasty is primarily a single-player game with full offline support. You can build your medieval village and dynasty entirely offline.
Medieval Dynasty does not support local split-screen co-op. All multiplayer is online through join codes.
Yes, Medieval Dynasty is playable on Steam Deck, though performance may vary. The game works on the handheld device.
Crossplay is mandatory on consoles and can only be disabled on PC by editing config files. Last-gen consoles (PS4/Xbox One) cannot join current-gen/PC sessions. No cross-progression.
Establishing the correct century in which Medieval Dynasty takes place is rather hard, because the developers, while doing an incredible job at keeping things historically accurate, often had to choose to modify some things (like the presence of spinning wheels or the usage of stone pickaxes) to provide a more balanced and linear experience while playing the game. The game does however take place in Medieval times, with elements from various centuries between the 11th and the 15th.
Medieval Dynasty's gameplay is based in Central Europe, around Poland. This is not officially confirmed, but the names of NPCs and various historical clues all point towards this area of Europe.
No, unfortunately the game does not support cross progression, meaning that buying the game on another version will not carry over your progress.
This depends on which version of the game you own. On console it is impossible to turn off crossplay, but on PC it is possible to edit the configuration file under the 'Profiles' folder with your profile name: adding the line 'crossplay = 0' to the file will effectively turn off crossplay after restarting the game. In case this does not work, set the file to read-only after modifying it, to prevent the game from overwriting it on launch.
